How Children Learn

How we live our lives, is how our children learn.
How we care for our children, is how they will live their lives.
How we look after our children, is how we look after the world.

Dr Tessabella Lovemore

Dr Tessabella Lovemore has started her career training and working as a teacher in several Waldorf schools in South Africa and the UK. She then studied psychology, earned her PhD and trained as an anthroposophical psychotherapist. In the courses she developed, she brings together Rudolf Steiner’s insights from spiritual science with latest research in relevant fields of scientific study.

How Children Learn is a course that gives you fresh eyes. Knowing how children learn brings informed understanding that will help you to read a child’s behaviour and inspire new ways of being with them.

This unique course in 12 lessons encompasses the latest research in attachment, child-development, and neuroscience and offers ways of understanding How Children Learn and how obstacles to their learning are introduced by behaviourism and inherited attitudes..

Over the time of half a year, we meet twice a month to work with the lessons. There is time to discuss, share insights and discoveries. Small groups make it possible to meet the individual needs of participants. In the weeks between meetings there will be exchange in groups of two. This will enable you to further deepen your understanding of the themes as well as support each other in applying the learnings. Together, we grow our understanding of children and ourselves; and we learn how to introduce gentle changes leading to more connection and joy in our lives.

Value: 75€ per month for half a year. Concessions and payment plans available.
